StorefrontLab #Action: West Coast Women

WEST COAST WOMEN
Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23, 11am–1pm

StoreFrontLab #Action was pleased to host West Coast Women, the collective of women behind the Unite and Lady Liberty bandanas, for two days of creative activism. Inspired by the 2017 Women’s March, these collaboratively crafted bandanas raised more than $1800 for SF Homeless Prenatal Program and $800 for immigrant legal aid.

For this weekend West Coast Women crowd sourced drawings for its next bandana advocating for Facts and Science and offering bandana’s for purchase.

Saturday, April 22, 11am–1pm: Justin Herman Plaza
MARCH FOR SCIENCE

At this public drawing session at the rally before the march down Market Street participants responded to these prompts: Why are facts important? What does environmentalism mean today? How have facts been denied in the face of the existential threat of climate change?  What does lying look like?

Sunday, April 23, 11am–1pm: Storefront Lab
DRAWING SESSION
