Part of Season 4: NOW!, StoreFrontLab #Action was an ongoing series of community-based workshops, talks, activities and gatherings supporting our collective work as advocates for peace, justice and social accountability.

TAKING ACTION MADE EASY

An open-source, resource-sharing event where, together, we gathered and exchanged important local and national contacts, reference literature, news sources, letterform templates and call-in scripts to contact our representatives. Plus a discussion subgroup for those anticinpating a difficult family discussion over the holidays. Our intention was to create a clear and concise package of actions to share at your Thanksgiving table.

StoreFrontLab

StoreFrontLab is a small space for big ideas, a vessel for dialogue and public engagement. Exploring the “storefront” as a place of community, creativity and local industry, we support participatory projects that bridge disciplines and prompt discussion. StoreFrontLab hosts experiments lasting from one day to one month, and take the form of salons, interactive and performative installations, lectures, film screenings, workshops, pop-ups, poetry, and music. Each season, we identify an important and many-sided concept, unpacking a constellation of thoughts, problems and images communicated through dynamic public programming within our project space.
