SHOTWELL Update

Our Fall Social drew a lovely turn out of StorefrontLab regulars and new friends, who together contributed ideas and enthusiasm for our new project – SHOTWELL, a hyper-local journal about one street. The idea for SHOTWELL came about as a response to the crime reporting and calling out that is so prevalent on NextDoor, the sense that there is so much more we could be sharing that would deepen our connection to our neighborhoods and each other. While SHOTWELL will focus on its namesake street, the overarching message is that every street is rich with history and stories, from the mundane to the stranger-than-fiction. It’s a prompt to pause and be curious about the streets we call home.

As we continue to develop SHOTWELL’s framework, we wanted to expand our invitation to contribute ideas and suggestions to StorefrontLab’s online community. You can review the input received at our Fall Social at the links below then contribute your ideas and suggestions here.
