StoreFrontLab is pleased to welcome the return of Deep Craft Atelier, the art installation/social sculpture by Scott Constable which launched StoreFrontLab in 2012. Deep Craft Atelier 2 (DCA2) will take the form of a pop-up board shop, featuring a new line of hand-crafted skateboards designed and made by Constable, along with a collection of other surf-themed products.

For his one-of-a-kind skateboards, Constable milled, air-dried and shaped veneers from native California hardwoods, then invited artists to create graphics that are burned into the wood like scrimshaw.  The artists include Jim Christensen, Alika Cooper, Bradford DeCaussin, Alicia Dyche, Kathleen Henderson, Lawrence Labianca, and Jeanne Lorenz.

DCA2's collection evokes memories (or are they dreams?) of sun-bleached days at the coast:

Join us for a special opening party with surf-themed food and drink with live music by Jeremy Gallegos. A portion of sales benefit StoreFrontLab and San Francisco Baykeeper.
